Good

Good is all that is not evil. While evil is a directionless, self-obsessed, destructive impulse, good is that which leads toward unity with the word, a selflessness and a self-enhancing function. It's a rising-above of all base motivations, and, in the gnostic tradition, a focus on life as a means to the highest end possible (eternally true and respectable things) supplanting life as its own ends, with any means possible used to maintain life. This vision comes closer to that which a ancient Roman, Greek or Indian might espouse.
