Sam's Burger Joint New Music Compound

Burgers are $5 and of good size and ingredients. An open-air stand connects the restaurant to a patio. Cross that and you reach a three-story corrugated tin shack which houses concerts for mostly punk bands but occasionally anti-Judeo-Christian blasphemers. Inside it is dark and spacious, with bathrooms to one side and areas for marketing. There is a seating area and a floor on which at the far end rests the stage, a spacious and sturdy assembly. PA was reasonable but metalsound(tm) seems difficult to reproduce for most sound dudes. Local crowd embraces a diversity which includes skinheads, Mexicans and everyone else getting along for a few hours. Beers were expensive but the true black metal parking lot, liquor store and corner drug connection await nearby.
