Howdy all,

Not much changed since last week. Eagerly anticipated next week: ANCIENT.
Their first, Svartlvheim, has been a favorite for the year and a half I've
had it; hopefully they won't have placed their musical mutation in a
cheesier/more commercial direction. New this week is Rise, a Los Angeles
death metal band whose miniCD has been on this list before. Their new
album, Shadows of Ruins, is a divergent mix of styles fused into a death
metal powerdrive.

1. Kvist - For Kunsten Maa Vi Evig Vike (Avantgarde)
2. Burzum - Filosofem (Misanthropy)
3. Deeds of Flesh - Gradually Melted (Wild Rags)

5. Immolation - Here In After (Metal Blade)
6. Zyklon-B - Blood Must Be Shed (Malicious)
7. Cenotaph - 9 epic tales and death rites (OZ)
8. Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane (Relapse)
