Mission

Our purpose is not to have a purpose but to be able to exist and articulate our desires. With recognition we are freed from the ambiguity of uncertain justification, or reason why, and consequently feel the meaninglessness of recognition. Pain on earth is pain forever, as never can the individual be reconciled to the motion of the whole.

But even in this continuing era of apocalyptic demise, we find ourselves overwhelmed by our oppression: of self, through perception of external world; of self through external world. As we are thinking machines we copy the imprint of object of our world in our heads, whether conception, fetish, or fantasy is the goal.

With this ease of visualization, we are easily fooled: our inference-based understanding concludes external parameters to a world without laws, the nihilistic, chaotic, and perpetual flow of the universe. Our perceptions are defunct by the time we come close to their acceptance; the one flow of logic from our brain, whether in pictures, words, music or feelings, is a single window over a vast landscape of organic thought-objects.

What we know as consciousness compares to reading a printout from a vast computing machine and pretending that we know the permutations that derived the conclusions we hold as precepts. With this stream of logic - a story, an unfolding, a series of understandings - in our head, we hold that there is a path, a true way and a logic ending and encapsulation to the equation.

We are ANTIpurpose; we are not believers in the purpose of ANTI. Enslavement to a reaction is same as enslavement to the action in the outcome, so we are ANTI-anti. This includes the image of ANTI incorporated by modern sycophant marketers. We believe in nothing; our purpose as fans of metal music and hessian culture is to 'distort the text of existence' and to propagate our uncertainty, ambiguity, obscurity and mischievous destruction wherever possible.

Purposeless we are freed to wander the earth in the only absolute state ever, nihilism. As we recognize the inherent unimportance of all that surrounds us and how easily it is removed leaving us alone. This new state of freedom forces the question of boredom and value and sends us on the fall into the abyss, tasting forever its disharmonic emptiness like the expansive ambition of a beautiful summer night. It is older than time, an organic expansion without a question or answer why.

The Oration of Disorder promotes this dangerous and subversive nihilism by playing excessive amounts heavily patterned, deconstructive music like death metal. Underground metal riffs are generally assembled from the string of power chords following the scale of root notes; in the songs patterns are composed, modulated, evolved, and then destroyed in a succession of patterns, returning to the original pattern as each sub-pattern cycles back to its inception.

At the highest abstract level and lowest level of complexity these are the patterns from which life is made that serve to encode violence and alienation for later use against fellow humans acting as enslavers. They are coupled with a mythology of willpower, self respect, mystical understanding and artistic power -- the vital forces of ideology that propel the emotion to this music.

Some might call it "growing up music" as a fantasy in which youth indulge before they mature into pattern-set predictable adult creatures with no vision or ambition. However in the context of its analytical and empathic desire for freedom one could see it as the protest music of youth shuffled with the herd of the blind into the passive death of adulthood in a modern society, where existence is the identification granted by duty.

Our Musical Mission

The show does not play overly commercial bands or bands with a propagandistic allegiance message in their songs, and refuses to cop out by playing "alternative" and "industrial" bands that formerly metal labels trip over each other to sign in the hopes of a quick score. This show is about the lasting value of artistic composition and the mental awareness and philosophical honesty one must have to understand the metal culture, the theory and analysis behind modern metal, and the alienation of its participants.
