Submit to the American Nihilist Underground Society

As an organization devoted to changing the minds of the intelligent and aware people in society at large, ANUS thrives on new content. People like to read, watch videos, see art and consume satirical propaganda. Our goal is to provide this content in a compelling form and inject our particular brand of realism into it.

Submissions Guidelines

OpEd/Opinions

We're looking for new, interesting viewpoints on modern society and life itself, through intelligent and nihilist observations. You can submit to our Editor through our on-line entry.

Translations

Translations in any language is highly appreciated. The translation needs to be in plain text, written in Windows Notepad or EditPad Lite, encoded in UTF-8 (do NOT write the translation in Microsoft Word). Please use our special template and format the text accordingly. You may submit translations directly to our Editor, by email. Don't forget to include name/alias and the source you used.

Videos

Videos should remain short (1-2 min) and take on a certain topic, such as racism, democracy, capitalism, greed, heroism, stupidity etc. The video clip should both communicate a simple, intelligent point, as well as entertain the viewer, preferably by realism or humour. The video must be presented in a way so that it can grow popular and attract a large audience, but still be smart enough to have something to say. At the end of the clip a short excerpt from a song (like a death metal riff) should be played, while "ANUS.com" or similar ends the video. See example here.

Images and Cartoons

Images follow the same scheme as the video production: exploit a failure in modern society and show how meaningless/pointless/wrong this idea is, by mocking with reality or humour to create reactions. An image should be kept fairly small in size in order to be posted to forums, but big enough so that all people can see what it tries mimic.
