Sinister make anthemic metal songs in the European style, played like an American band from New York who like to make blasting, explosive, pulsing metal. Percussion masterpieces of muffled strumming morse code leap between blast speeds and verse tempos. Detonating power chord riffs shred over double-hit drumming at high speed and then fall to a chanted, marchlike pace while frenetic lead riffing adds melody in counterpoint. Abrupt harshly pronounced distorted vocals punctuate phrases, and waltzlike rhythms inherent to each song emphasize chorus phrases. Drumming is exact like all instrumentalism in this diamondcutter tight death metal band.
