The Immortal demos are fascinating, revealing the raw concept behind their first album unleashed in the form of harsh and battering guttural death metal. Blasphemous and purist in the oldest style it is both excellent and an introduction to what is next to come, in that this same torch of percussive death metal was picked up on the last three songs of "Blizzard Beasts."
