Blood define a new space for grindcore in the paranoia of human existence, making repulsion and mortal fear suddenly personified in abstract but primal hymns of alienation. Songs pulse out a riff sketching a major theme, and work from that rhythm to spawn, mutate and die. A Morse code of staggered rhythms shaped into "budget" riffs thrash the listener to attentive pulp. Three-note transitions guide relentless battery to define song structure. Riff changes gradually build themes. Lyrics are subconscious paranoia reflected in narrative of the macabre and bizarre, gurgling past you in throaty gutvocals. Nightmare: this release is all that grindcore could be.
