Amazingly undiscovered this album of potent death metal balances between surging phrases of rising melody and the recursive thunder of blasting counterpoint that so successfully sets up each verse section for a chorus resolution that will eventually peak on the concluding cycle of song. Thickly guttural vocals delivered with measured directness cadence each verse and anthemic choruses slam home the essential theme of each song. Articulate and diverse in its range of expressions this release is what death metal in a further evolved vision of the old style should be.
