23 10 11 - 06:13An interesting approach:
I am promoting a Conservative view of architecture and town planning which advocates the design of new buildings by developing from the traditional styles that already exist in diverse towns and cities rather than forcing incongruous buildings into a round hole: the exploitation of cities across the world for a Global style of architecture. There is enough disjuncture in British urbiscapes as it is after the Second World War blitzes and sixty years of depredations by local councils without adding incongruous excrescences to it. - New English Review
Uniformity is the hallmark of globalism. Equality = uniformity.
Wisdom on the other hand comes from understanding balance, harmony and hierarchy -- these are all beyond the "me-first" human attitude behind liberalism.
- Liberalism, leftism, globalism, Marxist, Communism, and anarchism are the same thing: a desire for a primacy of human feeling/judgment.
- Conservatism, traditionalism, transcendentalism and deep ecology are the same thing: a desire for consequences (a natural order) to come before human delusion.
What an untangled web we weave.
