UK 'growing more prejudiced'

Over half of Britons believe the nation has become more racially prejudiced in the last five years, a survey suggests.

Research from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) found 56 per cent thought tolerance was on the decline, but people from ethnic minorities were less concerned than white people.

The Conservatives described the government's support for multiculturalism as a "failed" policy and warned if trends continue the UK may become more "divided and segregated".
