The Chinese ambassador to London has angrily denounced Britain for lacking respect and "demonising" China.

Writing in The Sunday Telegraph, Fu Ying said British demonstrators who disrupted the Olympic torch relay had "disappointed" the Chinese people and increased the possibility of a "counter reaction".

"They were convinced that the people here were against them. One girl remarked she couldn't believe this land nourished Shakespeare and Dickens. Another asked: where is the 'gentlemenship'?"

In a US television interview last night, the Dalai Lama reiterated his opposition to a boycott of the Beijing Games and told China, “We are not against you. And I’m not seeking separation”.

The West, particularly the US, is warmongering and the Dalai Lama is but a confused pawn in their game.
