Mit der Thematik des Klimawandels wurde viel Schabernack getrieben.
Von Politik und Wirtschaft wurde es nur als Mittel verstanden, Geld zu scheffeln und allerlei Gewissen zu beruhigen.
Aber: "Das stimmt doch gar nicht, das Klima hat sich schon immer verändert" - solche Aussagen sind Legion und finden irgendwo sogar wissenschaftliche Unterstützung. Ähnlich wie bei "Dann wird es endlich wärmer" - das ein ganzes Ökosystem zum Niedergang veurteilt ist und der Mensch eventuell doch Schuld daran haben kann, wird ausgeblendet.

Global temperatures increased by about 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.6 degrees Celsius) during the 20th century, and international panels of scientists sponsored by world governments have concluded that most of the warming probably was due to greenhouse gases.

Before the industrial age and extensive use of fossil fuels, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere stood at about 280 parts per million, scientists have determined.

Wir "retten" das Ökosystem nicht, indem wir Glühbirnen ersetzen, mal das Licht ausschalten oder vereinzelt weniger Autofahren (auch wenn das unabhängig davon sehr empfehlenswert sein mag) - es werden nur die Massen an naiven Menschen beruhigt, ändern tut sich jedoch - nichts. Es muss grundlegend etwas an gesellschaftlichen Werten und an der wirtschaftlichen Orientierung getan werden. Die Erderwärmung wird durch Überbevölkerung, Überindustrialisierung und Ausbeutung von Ressourcen verursacht, sie ist symptomatisch für die Weltanschauung, die so etwas hervorruft.
