                          Origin of Witchcraft

Wicca is a religion that practices cerimonial magic.  it is where the word 
'witch or witchcraft' comes from.  There is much more to the wicca religion 
than magic, but I will not go indepth concidering that this philes purpose is 
not the explanation of religions.  There are many other religions that 
practice magic (all of them actually)  Magic is composes of 7 things. 

 1) Physic energy 
 2) Willpower  
 3) Focus  
 4) Faith
 5) Visualization  
 6) Runes  
 7) Herbs.  

The first four are ALWAYS present.  Viaualization is nessicary for concious 
magic.  Runes and Herbs are more or less aids.  They can be used without 
casting a spell, however they will not be nearly as effective.  All religions 
have an explanation for magic, and most do not recognize its existance.  Magic 
will always appear as a coincidence.  Magic is VERY real, and is used daily 
by everyone.  Usually magic is not used intentionally, and in most cases the 
caster does not realize that he is actually using magic.  The word 'Spell' is
almost never used by anyone except a practitioner of the art.  The most common
form of a spell is a 'PRAYER'.
